Peter Paul Althaus was a poet, dramaturge and radio-play author. His grave lies in the southern grounds near the historic cemetery buildings.

August Arnold co-founded the film-technology company ARRI with Robert Richter and helped shape the development of professional cameras and production equipment.

Painter Franz von Defregger became known especially for historical works and Tyrolean genre scenes. He is buried in a family grave.

Alois von Erhardt was a mayor and honorary citizen of Munich. His municipal honorary grave monument was moved here from Alter Nordfriedhof in 1953.

Physicist and philosopher of science Ernst Mach was interred in a collective grave. A stele in section 94 commemorates him and also marks the resting place of his son Ludwig.

Architect Manfred Eickemeyer made his studio available to the White Rose resistance group. His family grave is designated as an honorary grave.
